Kim Nelson, local artist, who worked on "Hail A Cab!" community project modeled after Cincinnati's "Big Pig Gig" and Chicago's "Cows on Parade", was designed to make public art accessible, promote tourism, honor the history and celebrate the future of Kalamazoo. It pays homage to one of the American City's most beloved icons, the Checker Cab, which were manufactured in Kalamazoo by Checker Motors until 1982. www.wmich.edu/alumni/cab
Also- Jared Vineyard, "They All Want Jen" the current production at the Blue Star Theatre in South Haven. The show will play Oct. 21-24, 8pm on Thursday through Saturday and at 2pm on Sunday.
